July 29, 2011 And what is the busy author working on this summer? Copy edits on AN AFFAIR WITH MR. KENNEDY almost off my plate. Some revision/edits on THE CARNAL SINS OF RAPHAEL due by Labor Day––then I go back to writing A VERY PRIVATE DUEL WITH MR. GUNN: Up in an airship with Finn as he pursues a beautiful, dangerous anarchist.

I was spending an idle hour liking and friending the other day and ran across this beast. Yes,
the one to the right smoking a Camel or is that
a Gauloises? Who knew Facebook could be this interesting? This is a Cyberpunk romance
novel waiting to be written. The muse is musing again.

June 17, 2011 Awww. A romantic Aussie man. Who knew? The man photographed in a passionate embrace with a woman in the middle of riots in Vancouver is an Australian, who had been living and working in the city for six months and had recently started dating the girl in the photo, who is a Canadian.
According to the Aussie kisser, they were between the riot police and the rioters. The police were actually charging forward, and his girlfriend got knocked down by a police shield and fell to the ground. He was comforting her and gave her a kiss to say, ‘It's going to be OK.’
Okay by me. How about you?

“Stone's taut mystery/romance sets the stage for her Gentlemen of Scotland Yard series. The sexy smart characters will appeal to modern readers as much as the suspense. Their repartee heats up the pages, promising a treat for readers."

April 3, 2012 Received this e-mail from Elisa Verna, assistant web editor at RT BOOK REVIEWS. I just wanted to let you know that The Seduction of Phaeton Black was nominated for our Seal of Excellence Award this month. Congratulations! RT editors loved the book!

What the editors at RT Reviews have to say about Phaeton: Throw out everything you think you know about heroes, because Phaeton in The Seduction of Phaeton Black by Jillian Stone is like no character you have ever read about before. He is rude and crude most times, but these traits help him hide his genius as a paranormal investigator. And at his side is a most suitable partner, Miss America Jones, daughter of a Cajun witch. The two may not always get along, but they are perfectly paired in their hunt to stop a female vampire that is stalking London's streets. Readers picking up this fast-paced steampumk novel should get ready for a very wild ride!
ComiCon 2011 Guillermo Del Toro on his reputation as a filmmaker: “I don’t think I’m a household name director. I think I’m an acquired taste. When I come here, it’s fantastic, but I don’t buy that illusion. I’m really a freak every place I go. I don’t quite fit in the independent scene, I don’t quite fit in the art scene, and I don’t fit in the Hollywood scene. I’m a weird, strange, fat motherf—er, and I plan to stay that way.”

★★★★1/2 SCORCHER RT REVIEWS TOP PICK This book almost defies categorization, combining elements of steampunk, erotica, paranormal romance, and mystery. The atmospheric Victorian London setting has a dark gothic feel with ancient gods on the loose. The writing is witty, the characters delightful, the descriptions vivid and the sex earthy and erotic.
